Year One Is Attached to a $50 Filing. Year Two Is Attached to Nothing You Can Read.
Reliable registered agent coverage for New Mexico entities. Flat $99/year for the office address, same-day scanning of court papers, and reminders before state deadlines.
We are the competition and this page argues for us. New Mexico Registered Agent.co sells agent service in this state at $99 a year. What appears below about Inc Authority is confined to what that company published, and to what it did not, as of a July 2026 review of its public site.
Zero Is Zero, and We Will Not Pretend Otherwise
Inc Authority includes the first year of registered agent service at no charge with a formation package. The offer is what it says it is. Someone must hold the agent line from the day a New Mexico LLC comes into existence, Inc Authority holds it, and for twelve months no invoice is generated. An owner counting every dollar at launch is not being foolish to accept it.
What the Free Year Is Riding On
Worth pausing on the thing the free year is bundled with, because in New Mexico it is unusually small.
The filing that creates a limited liability company here is the articles of organization, governed by NMSA 1978, ยง 53-19-8, and the state charges $50 to file it and issue the certificate back. Fifty dollars, one time. That is the transaction the free agent year is attached to as an incentive.
There is nothing improper in bundling a promotion with a $50 filing. It is simply useful to know the scale of what is being bundled, particularly in a state where the Secretary of State never charges an LLC anything again afterward. No annual report exists here, no biennial report, no periodic filing of any name, and no recurring state fee. The formation charge and, later, the agent renewal are close to the whole financial relationship.
The Renewal Rate Is Not Published

Order HereWhich brings the comparison to the number that is missing.
Inc Authority does not state anywhere on its public site what registered agent service costs once the included year concludes. The figure is not qualified, not expressed as a range, not marked "starting at". It is absent.
We will not supply a number to fill that space, because inventing one would be the same offence this page is complaining about. What can be said responsibly is limited to a market observation: across this trade, a rate that no website displays tends to be revealed first at a checkout screen or on a phone call. That is a pattern, not a documented fact about Inc Authority, and it should carry exactly that much weight.

Why the Blank Is Heavier in This State Than in Most
In a state with an annual report, a franchise tax, and a fee schedule of its own, an unknown agent renewal is one uncertain figure among several. New Mexico has none of the others. There is no yearly filing fee, nothing recurring from the Secretary of State, and no franchise tax on a pass-through LLC, which leaves the agent renewal as the sole repeating cost of keeping the company on the state's books.
An unpublished renewal in that setting is not an incomplete budget. It is the budget, unwritten.
Our Number, and Our Other Number
The first year is $99. Every year after it is $99. Both figures are on this page and on our pricing page, readable without an email address, a phone call, or a started cart. Five years costs $495 and you can verify that arithmetic right now, which is the point of printing it.
For that price: our New Mexico street address standing on your public filings so yours does not, court papers and state mail scanned and released within the same business day they land, a permanent document archive you can open at any hour, and general mail forwarding at a published $15 per item.
Our $99 is not the market's smallest figure. That distinction goes to BetterLegal, whose annual rate is $90. Ours sits among the lowest flat rates published for New Mexico, with the advantage that it is a fixed figure rather than a first-year one.
Removing Inc Authority From the New Mexico Record
Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.
Order HereWhat gets filed. A Statement of Change of Registered Office or Registered Agent, or Both. The same statement can move the registered office, the agent, or both at once.
Where it goes. The New Mexico Secretary of State, Business Services Division, entirely through the state's own filing system at enterprise.sos.nm.gov. No other channel is open. Business filings on paper are not accepted in New Mexico, and this filing has no number to quote because it never existed as a printed form.
What it costs. An LLC owes $20, settled by card within the portal, plus any card processing fee added at the payment step.
What has to happen first. The incoming agent is engaged before the statement is filed. The form asks for a successor and provides no way to leave the line vacant, which reflects what the state wants: a registered office covered without a break. Sign up here, our New Mexico details go into the statement, the statement is submitted, the record updates in one motion, and no day passes with your company undesignated. Ending the Inc Authority arrangement is the last step, not the first.
When to do it. Any time. If the free year is still running, filing now costs you nothing but the state's twenty dollars and means the unpublished renewal never becomes your problem to negotiate.
