Stated at the outset: this page belongs to New Mexico Registered Agent.co, a competing service priced at $99 a year, and we are not a neutral referee. Bizee's terms below come from that company's own published pricing as reviewed in July 2026, quoted without alteration.

The Formation Bundle Is Real

Bizee, formerly Incfile, includes registered agent service free with its formation packages for a term of three months up to a year, decided by tier. If Bizee is already forming your New Mexico LLC, those months cost you nothing and there is no reason to refuse them. The agent line has to be filled from the moment the Articles of Organization are accepted, and Bizee fills it competently.

What the Standalone Rate Is, and What It Is Attached To

Once the included period ends, or if you buy agent service on its own, Bizee charges $149 a year.

The interesting question is not whether $149 is defensible in general. At a national vendor, $149 often buys agent service positioned inside a wider compliance offering: report filing, deadline tracking, filings prepared on your behalf as the calendar demands. In most states that framing has something behind it, because most states generate a steady stream of obligations for a vendor to absorb.

Here is what a compliance wrapper has to work with in this state.

Recurring obligation New Mexico LLC
Annual report Does not exist
Biennial report Does not exist
Periodic report under any other name Does not exist
Recurring SOS fee $0
Franchise tax on a pass-through LLC None
Registered agent on file Required continuously

That table is the entire Secretary of State relationship after formation. New Mexico wrote no periodic-report requirement into its LLC statute, so there is no filing for a compliance product to prepare, no deadline for it to track, and no late penalty for it to protect you from. The state's tax agency has its own separate obligations around gross receipts, but those are filed with New Mexico Taxation and Revenue and no registered agent service files them for you as part of an agent subscription.

Strip the wrapper away and what remains is a street address, staffed during business hours, forwarding what arrives. That is the deliverable in New Mexico, from every provider, at every price. Bizee performs it for $149 and we perform it for $99, and the fifty dollars in between is not buying an extra filing, because there is no extra filing to buy.

The $99, Specified

  • New Mexico street address on the public record, keeping yours out of a searchable database
  • Same-day scanning of service of process and Secretary of State mail, posted to your portal
  • Documents archived permanently and reachable at any hour
  • One annual charge of $99, identical at renewal, with no bundled period that later expires
  • Nothing at checkout except the service

Nine dollars separates our rate from BetterLegal's $90, in their favor, and a comparison is only worth reading if it includes the number that undercuts the author. Ours is among the lowest flat annual rates published for New Mexico and it never converts into a higher one.

Where a Bizee Handover Gets Recorded in New Mexico

The record change is a Statement of Change of Registered Office or Registered Agent, or Both, handled by the Business Services Division and submitted in the state's online system. New Mexico takes no paper for business filings and never assigned this one a number, so there is nothing to download or mail. An LLC pays a statutory $20 for it, fixed at NMSA 1978, ยง 53-19-63(I), charged to a card in the portal alongside any card processing fee applied at that screen.

Cancelling Bizee is not the same act as changing your record, and the order between them decides whether you are ever exposed. The statement replaces one agent with another and offers no option to leave the seat empty, which is deliberate: New Mexico wants the registered office covered without interruption. So enrol with us, let the statement move the appointment, confirm the state is showing our name, and end the Bizee subscription after that. The change of agent page lists the steps in the order they belong in.

Filing early costs nothing extra. The $20 is the same whether you move on the first day of the bundled period or the last, and moving before the rollover means the $149 charge simply never occurs. If it has already occurred once, the filing still takes an afternoon and prevents the second one.
